We stayed with four people for one night in the mountain inn, so the rating is the overall result of dinner and overnight. The dinner in the beer garden was very tasty, the service very nice and courteous. Everything was fine here, keep it up. 5/5. When it comes to staying overnight, you have to make clear cuts. We paid € 100 per room, € 50 per person. The room was clean, but the beds are completely worn out. There was no real bathroom, the shower was only separated from the bedroom by a curtain. The balcony was an absolute disaster, dilapidated and unusable. Price-performance ratio is not right here at all. Unfortunately 0/5.

Very tasty food, friendly service, reasonable prices. We had a nice evening and would love to come back. From Fulda, well suited as a dinner after an excursion or for a meeting with friends in the Rhön. I also liked that it wasn't super loud in the room. You could have a good conversation with the other dinner participants.

We (3 adults with child and baby) accidentally became aware of the deer after a day trip and have rarely landed such a hit. The food was delicious and of the best quality. Exceptional with a certain whistle and not too expensive. The service was almost even better. Our "big one" got a box of toys right there. The staff is very attentive and incredibly friendly. The icing on the cake was the cook who asked about our location after the meal. Seldom had such a great experience. And so unexpectedly. Thank you for the great hour with you. We will definitely come again.

Megaaa yummy 😁! It was our first time to eat Canadian and were pleasantly surprised. We were there with four people to eat at 6 p.m. Here we were warmly welcomed and given a table next to the stove in the dining room. The inn is very comfortably furnished. The drinks were served quickly as well the quality of the food could be tasted clearly. In addition, the portions were more than adequate. At this point, a compliment to the friendly and fast service staff, as well as a big compliment to the kitchen. The food was excellent and we will be happy to recommend you. Until now, your restaurant is still an insider tip 😉. What I particularly liked was that the chef personally approached the guests and asked at each table whether everything was satisfactory. Keep it up 👍🏼 and we'll be back 😊.

I drove by spontaneously after a day's hike because I wanted to eat something before going home for a long time. It wasn't busy (late afternoon, expected) so I could sit where I wanted. I decided on the specialty of the house. According to the menu, a Canadian dish from the stone oven. Braised vegetables and a very good piece of pork! Not only did I get super full, it was actually quite healthy ;-) Delicious! The service was very friendly and attentive and the food came promptly! Highly recommended! On the next hike on the Wasserkuppe, I'll probably pass by on the way back ;-)

Just a great team, from which you will be friendly and warm, you can sit there for hours. Just great, barely to find in the Rhön, so comfortable, friendly and above all, delicious food! We are regulars ......

We happened upon here after a bike ride and ate. We came right in time for a big kind of grill pan that was really excellent. The service was also nice and courteous, something I haven't seen for a long time. Prices for what's on offer are more than good!

I stayed here recently most affordable I could find in Poppenhausen and very hospitable. Friendly staff.

Unbelievably bad. That there is still something like that. An impudence! Door broken, TV didn't work, dirty, noisy, beds a disaster. Breakfast minimalist without yogurt or fruit. Bread rolls from the day before, which would be ok if you baked them up. Sausage out of the packaging, no quark, no vegetables, no black bread. Dead flies everywhere, uncleaned windows, just bad.
